The "Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most historic and well known paintings of it's time and it is arguable the standard of which all other last supper paintings are compared to. Their are strong uses of contrast and symbolism through out the painting. These elements help the viewer identify Judas as the painting portrays the moment were Jesus announces which of his desiples will betray him. Da Vinci accurately depicts each desiple inquiring among themselves "is it I" Lastly their is no one on the other side of the table which invites the viewer in.
