I chose The Crucifixion by Pablo Picasso done in 1930. Before I did any research on this painting, the name and vibrant colors was what caught my eye due to this weeks assignment. However, when I started to read a little bit more about this painting I came to realize that Pablo Picasso had no intention of this painting having anything to do with religion. The interpretation of this painting is about how the pain and suffering is captured and how it is a forerunner in this painting because of the use of bright colors, certain shapes, and the expressions used.
