Blog #7 Flag-Decked Boat

This painting was made by Raoul Dufy in 1904 and the medium is oil on canvas. I chose this image because I like the use of the colors in the painting. I like how the sky is gray but has a hint of blue and I think that the colorful flags add nice coloring to the painting. Also thought it was interesting what all of those flags on the ship represented being that this was taken place in France. Dufy was part of the Fauvist movement and this image was expressed from an individual standpoint.
