This painting was made by Chuck Close in 1969 called Phil. It is an acrylic on canvas and I chose this because of the oddness of this self portrait. I like how their is a lot going on with his face like the right eye drooped, the hair being messed up and it looks intimidating to the audience. Also like that this painting was made in black and white and not color. It looks like their is 2 different people or personalities to Phils face on both sides which I thought was intriguing to look think about.
