Tiger Hunt Post #1

Tiger Hunt by Eugene Delacroix in 1854, Paris

I chose this picture that is made out of oil on canvas because I agree with what the image depicts. These are men with a significant purpose with the gestures attacking the wild beast which is the tiger. I feel like the determination of the man riding the horse and the aggressiveness of the creature bring cruelty to this hunt and in general to art. This painting shows that the tiger that's being encountered by the men trying to kill it, but all the tiger wants is to be free and that's why he is fighting back to survive. The way this picture is formed shows that the artist put alot of  thought into the setting of where this is taking place.
